every day i try to start with a brisk walk around my neighbourhood. this time of year is extra tough to be motivated with the cold mornings. but i always feel so much better after it. i love the fact that it is so quiet. not many people are around & i get to look up at the birds hanging out on the wires. the trees changing & listen to the music on my ipod.

i am looking forward to seeing snaps of your neighbourhood. add them to the linky below & feel free to enter my giveaway while you are here too!

it's tuesday

i am battling with a cold. i am planning on winning & resting lots to get better before a busy week ahead. i can hear 'giggle & hoot' on the tv downstairs. hoots voice can be annoying. it's very high pitched! the house smells like freshly toasted bread. piles of washing need to be put away. i don't like to get behind on the house hold chores so better get moving. eat some toast & enjoy this day. what's on your agenda for this tuesday?

snap it {inside}

we have a beautiful lime tree in our garden growing in a pot & it produces hundreds of limes every year. since we can't get the lemon tree to grow as fast & as productive {three years & still waiting for it to bare fruit!} we often sub with limes in our cooking. i think they are so perfect when sliced open.

please add your {inside} snap it pic to the list below. & if you have any uses for limes i am all ears!

next weeks topic is neighbourhood

sea, sand, sunshine & stormy skies

the past few weeks have been busy, busy, busy. lots of catch ups with friends. photo sessions. bookings for photo sessions {which always put a smile on my face!} & time to adapt to the changing weather. one day it's sunshine & birds chirping & the next storm clouds & non stop rain. i enjoyed a stroll on the beach last week during a few hours to myself & snapped away with my phone. it was definitely three seasons in one day.

feeling the love

my girls spoilt me with hand written notes & drawings for Mother's day along with some gorgeous pieces of art they had created. i love these most of all. & to feel the love from them, for me is priceless.

above is a poster my six year old has on display in a shop front near by to her school. she hopes it will win a jewellery voucher for me to spend. but i am happy with her words, written her way. & have already won with all the love in the world.

lunchtime was a feast italian style shared with those we love & cherish. delicious platters & amazing pizza. time to sit & spend time with family.

how was your weekend? i hope you felt the love.

snap it {black & white}

please add your black & white images to the link up below. & have a happy wednesday!

next weeks topic is inside

scones

saturday afternoon was the perfect afternoon for scones. it was cold & rainy & grey outside. so we lit the fire to keep us warm inside & devoured these. yum.

i use the trusty tupperware scone recipe. & have always wanted to try the lemonade scone recipe. have you a favourite?

cups of tea & cake

on a drizzly & overcast melbourne day last week my friend Kelly made her way across the bay cruising on the ferry

we enjoyed a way too overdue catch up with tea, hot chocolate & cake
i chose the carrot cake which was amazing!
& after a chance to do a little shopping down the main street we stopped at my favourite place for lunch. sat by the fire & chatted till it was time for Kelly's ferry trip back home
next time i have plans to head over on the ferry to shop, drink tea & eat cake & catch up on the other side of the bay!
